NYU professor and podcast host Liberal Scott Galloway criticized the Biden family this week, saying his “narcissism” has damaged the country.
During a recent episode of his Podcast “Pivot” that he co-cuts with journalist Kara Swiser, The Pundit argued that the way former President Biden blocked the 2024 election for the Democratic Party will be “his inheritance”.
Speaking about how Biden assured that former vice president Kamala Harris would be to replace him in the footsteps of the campaign last year, he said, “the reality is that it was not a strong candidate and President Biden and his family’s narcissism had heavily.
Galloway began his view by stating that the party should have had a primary withdrawal behind Biden from the race, so that the best possible candidate could have beaten the then candidate Donald Trump.
“I was the afternoon of Saturday afternoon,” he said. “I said to have a mini ‘shark tank’- as primary with the eight best candidates- go from two debates with eight, then in four, in two. It would have dominated the media cycle.”
Galloway added that Harris was not “an excellent candidate”, though he praised her efforts in trying to replace her boss. “I think she did a good job given the hand she was treated with, but this is a candidate who didn’t do it in Iowa four years ago, which America tells me didn’t think of it as an excellent candidate.”
In 2024, Galloway recorded a video for Democrats who voted from abroad. In January 2025, he posted an article in the medium entitled “How to Survive the next four years”.
The former president has been criticized by his party in the months after the election for not abandoning the race soon and leaving the room for a democratic primary. Former head of the house Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif, argued day after the election that “the president had come out sooner, there may have been other candidates in the race”. She added, “the prediction was that if the president was to withdraw, there would be an open primary.”
Former Fund of Harris Surrogate and DNC funds Lindy Li also grilled for Harris’s approval shortly after leaving, saying the move was led by a primary.
“I really think President Biden, you know, all approved her thirty minutes after he left, I think this was a big F-you for the holiday,” she said a few days after Trump’s victory.
Other democratic figures have said that Biden built the problem by demanding that Harris stand in the blocking with his presidential agenda. According to a recent book written by journalists Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes, the former president “would publicly say that Harris should do what he should win. But privately, including conversations with him, he repeated a warning: let there be no daily light among us.”
During Podcast, Galloway added that the insistence of Biden in Harris running, and its subsequent loss will be the way he is remembered.
“I will get for this because people are feeling the empathy accurately for him, but his legacy, in my opinion, has been destroyed by this,” he said.
Reps for Biden did not respond immediately to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
