Joy Reid navigates speculation that its race, ‘anxiety’ around the Trump district played a role in Msnbc fire

Former MSNBC host Joy Reid spoke about her appearance by canceling Monday, speculating that the race and her “anxiety” network about President Donald Trump played a role in her eventually leaving the liberal network.

“I try not to specimulate too publicly publicly, again, i can’t get inside the minds of Other People. But i can tell you what other People have species… there are tears of People at the networks. Critical of Him, i’m assuming, you know. [it]But I know there is a lot of anxiety both there and, I think, in every media. We’re seeing it at CBS, “she said, referring to Trump’s lawsuit against the network during a” 60 -minute “interview with former Vice President Kamala Harris.

Reid spoke with Katie Couric in a video posted on her substance page and on her YouTube channel.

Reid MSNBC show was canceled earlier this year.

“We are seeing it in ABC, where the ‘hosts are allegedly said not to go so much for Trump. There is a push for people who, hey, make less Trump. Do more fun. Do not be difficult for him, ”said the former MSNBC leader, noting that reporting that ABC’s hosts were told to tone their political discussions.

Couric emphasized that there was no difference between Reid and Liberal Nicolle Wallace or Rachel Madaw hosts, to which Reid replied, “Only in one way I was different. I am a black woman doing anything.”

“I think there is a difference for Trump in listening to the types of criticism especially by a black woman, she disturbs her in a way that doesn’t bother her like nothing. He has this kind of scoring about race, you know, and about, a kind of criticism that comes specially from a black woman because we have seen her stretch and drink from the real abuse of her.”

Joy Reid, the former MSNBC host of “The Reidou”, claims that her race, along with President Trump’s presence, played a role in being released from the liberal network.

“I did a specific thing, that was, I tried to constantly unfold the racial history of the country, which is very against the type of project 2025. And it’s something I can do in a certain capacity because of my ancestry, because not only am I a black woman, but I come from immigrants coming from what would consider Donald Trump, but”

The Reid show was replaced by “The Weeknight”, an ensemble program featuring former Kamala Harris spokeswoman, Symone Sanders-Townsend, Alicia Menendez, daughter of former Jersey Bob Mendez’s former Signator Michael Stele, former Republican National Committee Chairman, who now opposes Gop.

The new MSNBC lining fought in the first month, with Psaki pouring half of the audience its ancestors on average in the same time list, and with its other new programming fighting to attract viewers.

Reid spoke with Katie Couric in a video posted on her Substack and Youtube channel, explaining how President Trump and her race led to dismissal. Apea

MSNBC and MSNBC and ABC “view” did not immediately return commentary requests.

Reid said before the cancellation of her show, she was told that her show was “less” in estimates than any other MSNBC show except Maddow.

Reid and her former Primetet Colleges faced a large decline in ratings after Trump won the election.

Her appearance, “The Reidout”, poured 47% of its total audience, on average only 759,000 viewers after an average of 1.4 million viewers throughout 2024 that led to election day,

Reid told Couric specifically, “I think there is a change for Trump in listening to the types of criticism specifically by a black woman, disturbing her in a way that doesn’t bother her like nothing else.” Sufstack/@Joyannreid

“Our show was down less than any other premium show. We were down, except for Rachel Maddow, we were less. So we were just told that we were keeping well. And, you know, it’s not like the ratings they’ve got better since I went. I can tell you.

Reid said MSNBC’s reasoning was “written” and “perforctorous” and explained that she had begun to be careful on social media.

“We were very careful and I tried to be more careful about anything on social media because I know there was real anxiety for social media, a lot of anxiety about nothing on social media,” she said.

“I don’t know, it really wasn’t told.”
