NVIDIA is reported to be developing a new specific computer chip of China that can be linked to “groupings” with high power needed to strengthen artificial intelligence patterns-all the Trump administration movement to strengthen export controls in the chips.
Ipipi, who is being called B30, is already attracting interest from China -based technology giants as Tiktok parent byntedance, Alibaba and Tencent, reported information on Friday.
Nvidia, led by CEO Jensen Huang, told clients that she plans to produce more than 1 million B30 chips this year, Dalja said. Chips are said to be in accordance with the strict export controls of the White House, which are concentrated on individual chips than in groups.
When it came to comment, a Nvidia spokesman said the company continues to evaluate its options. “With the prohibition of H20, our competitors in China are now mainly protected from US competition and free to use that $ 50 billion market to build a strong ecosystem of it,” the spokesman said.
Nvidia shares increased about 1% in trading on Monday.
Developing chips would mark the latest offer from Nvidia to maintain access to China’s profitable market. US officials have grown increasingly cautious to allow Beijing to enter the most powerful chips made by the US for fear that China will overcome the US in the race to develop it advanced.
The latest restrictions set in April blocked the Nvidia to sell its H20 chip, which was specifically developed for China in response to previous export checks.
Last month, Nvidia said she was expecting revenue of about $ 45 billion in the second fiscal quarter – with a loss of $ 8 billion in the expected sales of H20 chips that would have been sent to China.
When calling for May 28’s profits of the company, Huang admitted that Nvidia was “considering” the release of a new chip in China that would agree with export controls.
“Theelli is to understand the boundaries and see if we can come up with interesting products that can continue to serve the Chinese market. We have nothing at the moment, but we are considering it,” Huang said at the time.
“Of course, the borders are quite strict at the moment. And we have nothing to announce today. And when the time comes, we will engage the administration and discuss it,” he added.
